Learn more about...
Upper Teviotdale is a rural community situated south west of Hawick stretching down to the border with Dumfries Galloway. It straddles the A7, which is the major route between Edinburgh and Carlisle, and has the river Teviot running through it. Also included in the area is the Allan Water district. There are two main villages, Teviothead and Newmill.
Welcome to the Borthwick Valley, a very scenic place. With the river Borthwick at our side every twist in the road gives us a different view as we travel up the valley from the A7 at Martin's Bridge.
