View over Teviothead, Scottish BordersUpper Teviotdale is a rural community situated south west of Hawick stretching down to the border with Dumfries Galloway. It straddles the A7, which is the major route between Edinburgh and Carlisle, and has the river Teviot running through it. Also included in the area is the Allan Water district. There are two main villages, Teviothead and Newmill.

It is mainly a farming district with a few small businesses operating in the area. We also have a wide variety of accommodation available with Bed and Breakfast and a few individual holiday cottages for rent.

Teviothead village hall is a popular music venue where all the local groups are invited to come and play. We have some great nights there and all are welcome to attend. The local area has some fantastic walks and the local scenery is magnificent.
